What makes one successful?

What makes one successful? I don’t know how many times I encounter this question and if you are looking for a perfect answer, I don’t have any but, definitely it’s not talent. Talent can only make you so far on its own. There should be something magical thing that helps you to become successful.

If you are thinking about luck is what makes you successful then, I would say to you that, you can be lucky once or twice but, getting lucky all the times without consistent good actions make no sense. So, instead of chasing your luck, why not make persistent good efforts in-spite of the fact that, life is not fair all the times and it’s full of challenges and to embrace those challenges with courage, you have higher chances of becoming successful.

When I talk about success, it’s not only financially but an overall improvement in life in terms of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs of the person. If someone says that, money doesn’t make sense to become a successful then, it’s all wrong. You just don’t wanna to live from paycheck to paycheck and always fearing that, you are going to lose the roof over your head some day.

The same thing is with the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the body. You just can’t focus only on the finances and come to the conclusion that, since, you are not living from paycheck to paycheck you are successful. You need to address the needs of your life.

For good mental health we can spend time with books. We can spend time with mentors. We can listen to the psychological podcasts. For emotional needs we can spend time with our loved ones and be humble in our actions to our neighbours. For spiritual needs of the soul, we can read the scriptures before we go to bed. Pray to God for everything. Be grateful to our loved ones.

There’s so much we can do to bring healthy success in our lives and help others to be the same. Even if the day is going bad, we just have to be consistent in fulfilling the overall needs of the life to make tremendous improvements. In chasing success we will encounter many failures. It’s fine but for God’s sake grab the courage to get up and be consistent in your efforts to find meaning and happiness.

So, the success is not the absence of failure, but the absence of giving up.
