You really need to ask yourself: by keeping making promises to yourself not to engage in all those actions or activities that bring only misery, and you still keep doing them… who do you think you are fooling? Seriously?
Every day, you come up with a new plan and make a commitment that you won’t engage in things that make you depressed and create anxiety, and yet you still keep doing them. Have you become insane or what? Do you think that you are very smart and have no responsibility towards your life to make it better? This is the story of most of us. We are in a vicious cycle of self-harming our bodies and our minds. Most of us don’t even have the courage to fix our lives. We hate ourselves. We think that someone is going to save us. Most of us are not in sync with God. Forget God for a minute—most of us are not even in sync with our true selves. We just pretend to be happy. We are all acting and wearing a mask to escape reality.
What is reality? Reality is that you need to accept yourself. You need to accept yourself joyfully. No matter whether your life is on track or not. I have noticed that a sad and depressed person cannot have a sharp and deep consciousness. His consciousness will always be dull and dim. A sad and miserable person hates his life. He hates existence. He doesn’t love himself. He doesn’t want to take responsibility for his life. He puts the blame on others, including God. Tell me, what’s the point of living like this? There’s nothing worse than a living person who behaves like a dead body.
I get it—you are not perfect and you can’t become like Jesus either, but at least stop making a fool of yourself. Stop doing the same things over and over that are making you miserable. Become aware of the things. It’s your choice whether you want to repress your life by keep indulging in foolish things or express your life by tuning with existence. The choice is yours.
