My Take on the US Midterm Elections

Last night was a catastrophic night for Republicans. They lost the House and the Senate. In this blog post, I will talk about the consequences of the US midterm elections.
Before February 2026, everything was looking good for Republicans. The polls were saying that Republicans would win the House and the Senate. After striking Iran, the poll numbers started to come down drastically. Trump said on many occasions that the Iran war would be over in a few weeks. Well, a few weeks turned into more than 8 months. American lives were lost. There is still some kind of uncertainty over who is controlling the Strait of Hormuz. People showed their anger toward Republicans. The voters are right.
The American public is not in favor of endless wars in the Middle East. They want lower energy prices. They want someone to address the rising cost of living. The polls kept showing that Republicans were set to lose the midterms because of the high cost of living and Trump’s stupid war with Iran. Trump didn’t care about it. Benjamin Netanyahu fooled him very badly. Had he not listened to Israel, Republicans would have won the House and the Senate. Now Texas is gone. Georgia is gone. North Carolina is also gone. It is all because of Trump’s fault. He didn’t listen to his core voters. He listened to Netanyahu.
I think there is still some time for Republicans. They need to act fast. Even JD Vance wrote a post on X explaining why Republicans lost. He said we lost because of the war, the high cost of living, and our ties with Israel. The bigger question is this: will Trump take any responsibility for his foolishness? Will he do something to address the issue of the rising cost of living? He better do that. If he doesn’t, Republicans will lose the presidency in 2028. Time is ticking.
