Everything is going up. Things have become pretty much unaffordable. Thanks to the liberal government and the war in the Middle East, Canadians are facing the heat of inflation. In this blog post, I want to talk about how financial freedom is not a luxury. It has become a necessity.
You can blame the government for all the mess they have created, but you can’t simply transfer your whole responsibility to someone else. You have to act with maturity. You need to take responsibility for your life—especially for your financial situation. If you don’t do that, no one else will do it for you.
The first thing I want you to do is to pay yourself on the first day of every month before you pay your rent, before you pay your other bills. The first principle is to pay yourself. It could be $100 or $200 or any amount. Pay a set amount to yourself first. Open a new savings account or save cash somewhere, but for God’s sake, pay yourself for a couple of years. Whatever is left after paying yourself, I want you to pay your mortgage/rent and other necessary bills. You need to stack cash. You need to do some savings. Don’t start paying your landlord or your car dealerships first. You should always come first. Others can wait.
The second thing I want you to do is, after doing some savings, you will have a stack of money. Now, I want you to make the best use of that money. In order to make the best use of money, you need to be good at something. Don’t just let the money sit around and do nothing. Every dollar that you have in your bank account or under your mattress is your slave. The best thing about money is that it can work 24/7. Human beings can’t work 24/7. I want you to invest your money for long-term investment purposes. Don’t do anything in a rush. The best thing you can do is to invest in gold, stocks, crypto, bonds, land, or apartment buildings. All I want is for you to invest your money so it makes more money for you while you are sleeping.
When you are done with the second step, I want you to protect your assets and minimize your liabilities. Don’t invest in things that are pure hype. Don’t be foolish with your money.
Money stays and multiplies where the owner is diligent and not sloppy. I want you to protect your money. Don’t lose it unnecessarily. While we are in the third step, don’t forget about the first step (ALWAYS PAY YOURSELF FIRST).
The fourth step I want you to do is to be grateful. Be humble. You worked so hard for creating an empire not just for yourself but for your future generations. Always have a learning attitude. Don’t give up your principles for earning money. Money comes and goes, but if principles and morals are lost to earn money, then you will be responsible for the mess!
I will say it again: financial freedom is a must-have thing for you in your life. You have to take it seriously.
