poor roads and highway conditions of Canada

What the hell is so wrong with Canada’s roads? There are way too many freaking potholes everywhere. Something desperately needs to be done. Canadians are paying a heavy price because of these dangerous road conditions. In this blog post, I will talk about it.
We spend millions and millions of dollars on stupid woke shit. We gave Ukraine billions and billions of dollars for that endless war in Europe. Don’t tell me we don’t have money to fix our damn roads. If we have money to send to other countries, why shouldn’t we fix our own core infrastructure first?
I want to talk about one province where the roads are so damn bad that it’s honestly better to walk. I’m talking about Nova Scotia. The highways are in terrible shape, especially Highway 101. There are literally huge potholes right in the middle of the highway before Bridgetown. Only God knows how many people have ripped their tires apart because of the poor maintenance on that particular stretch.
Don’t even get me started on the road conditions in towns like Yarmouth. It’s terrible. Main Street, Pleasant Street, Argyle Street, Starrs Road, and many other streets are all in the same dilapidated condition. Sometimes it feels like you’re not even driving on a real road. The provincial government collects our taxes, yet they still can’t fix the roads? Roads are key infrastructure for economic development. Instead of focusing on useless things, I wish our leaders would focus on what actually matters.
I would happily accept a fiscal deficit and pay my taxes gladly (and by the way, I do pay them) if the government would fix the housing crisis, address school shootings, repair our road infrastructure, and reduce the cost of living.
It is with great shame that I say this: we have become a third-world country.
