If the captain of a ship doesn’t know where he is going, the ship will never reach its final destination. It will drift around and end up nowhere. The same thing is happening in your life too! The majority of us are going to end up nowhere.
Life is the most precious gift we have from God. Without any plan (good or bad), we are not doing justice to our lives. Maybe that’s why the majority of us are living in depression.
How many times do we hear people say, “You don’t need a perfect plan. You just need a plan.”? For a short time, we get excited, and in that excitement, we never take any action. We still wait for the “right moment.” Sadly, life doesn’t wait for perfect timing. Life has no patience for that. It just keeps going. Most of us worry about our lives while simply waiting for death.
Fear has tremendous energy — all of it negative. Our minds don’t want to leave the comfort zone. Let me give you my own example: For a couple of years, I have been talking about starting a business. It’s not that I’m slacking. I just have this fear: What if things don’t work out? What if I lose everything and end up far away from my family? It’s hard.
I wrote down all my fears. I came to the realization that I have to drop the idea of completely eliminating fear. I don’t want to force fearlessness on myself. All I have to do is accept that fear exists in life — and then live my life and move forward regardless.
I hope you will do the same. Write down your fears. Stare at them. Pick one thing you really want to work on — for example, how to invest in stocks, learning a new language, or anything else. Spend 15–20 minutes facing your fear every day, and soon you’ll find that you develop a knack for it.
Come up with a bad plan — but at least come up with something.
